August Bank Holiday Weekend 2026 – (29th to 31st August)
We’ve got a BIG Bank Holiday weekend planned at the Rose & Crown and we’re really looking forward to it!
There’ll be plenty of beers and ciders to try, loads of sausage-based food, live entertainment and, hopefully, a whole lot of sunshine! ☀️
SATURDAY
We’re open from 12 noon with our selection of beers and ciders available throughout the day.
If you fancy sitting down for something to eat, our specials board will be packed with sausage-based dishes – and yes, there’ll be some vegan options too! 🌱
Weather permitting, we’ll have the sausage BBQ running from 3–5pm, with a selection of delicious sausages, caramelised onions and all the good stuff. 🌭🔥
Then from 9pm until 12.30am it’s our Beer Festival Karaoke Party! 🎤
You know the drill… grab a drink, pick a song and get up there! 😂
SUNDAY
Sunday means ROASTS! 🍽️
We’ll be serving our usual fabulous Sunday roasts alongside our sausage-themed specials.
Then from 8pm it’s time for the Big Beer Festival Quiz 🍺🧠
It’s just £2 per person, with shout-out prizes, booby prizes and plenty of laughs. Bring your team along and see how you get on!
BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY
Our Beer Festival Fun Day starts at 12 noon.
Come along for lunch, enjoy our full menu or try something from the sausage specials, have a wander through the beers and ciders and, weather permitting, we’ll be firing up the BBQ again from 3–5pm. 🌭
We’ll also have a Quoits demonstration, followed by the chance to have a go yourself – something a little different and hopefully very entertaining!
We’re also really pleased to have the lovely Bake@theShop team from Slaley’s own Community Shop joining us with their delicious home bakes. 🍰🧁
And then Monday night is when things really get going…
From 8pm we’ll be laughing, singing and dancing the night away!
😂 First up we have Geordie comedian Mike Milligan, followed by the fabulous Steven Fothergill, a Durham-based musician.
So whether you’re coming for the beer, the cider, the sausages, the music, the quiz, the comedy… or just because you fancy a good Bank Holiday weekend at the pub, we’d love to see you.
